How do I get my publications distributed by BBR?
You'd be hard pressed to find a retailer more receptive to small press and independent publishers than BBR, but that doesn't mean we take on every publication that's submitted to us. After all we're a business, not a charity, and at the end of the day even we have to consider the bottom line.
So, if you'd like us to consider your publication for distribution, then you must give us information that'll convince us to place an order:
- A sample copy of the book or magazine.
- Your wholesale rates.
- A brief summary of the book or magazine.
A short description of the relevant features, with a short synopsis for novels, plus an outline of the key differences between this new title and the countless other similar titles already available and selling. - Promotional details.
Precise details of where and when you plan to advertise this title, and any events intended to tie-in with your launch. - Selling features.
Factual reasons why this title can be expected to be more successful than other similar titles. - Quirks.
Interesting extra information which can provide a feel for this title, or anything which will make it memorable and differentiate it from others we might currently be considering.

Once we've looked at what you've sent us, we'll let you know if we think there's an opportunity to work together, and we'll send you a sample distribution contract for consideration. Only when terms are agreed and the contract is signed will we place an initial order and add you to the catalogue.
Whatever the outcome regarding distribution, every small press publication we receive gets featured in the BBR Directory.
