Age statement
Some titles listed in this catalogue may not be suitable for younger readers and are marked accordingly. BBR Distribution makes no claim as to the suitability of any title for consumption by minors.
How to order
Please print out and fill in the Order Form with this catalogue. Your order must be accompanied by your payment for the total value of the goods ordered. Please do NOT send cash as we accept no liability if this goes missing in the post. Receipts and pro-forma invoices are available upon request.
If something you order is not available
If we cannot reasonably expect to supply you with an item within 4-6 weeks of processing your order, this item will be marked as credit in your favour or refunded, according to the box you have ticked on the order form. If you do not tick either box, we will process any overpayment as credit by default.
However, if we are expecting a new delivery within the next 4-6 weeks, this item will be marked "To Follow" on your Despatch Note. If you have paid by cheque or money order, the value of that item will also be indicated as credit in your favour. You may still choose to use that credit for another title, or request a refund, if we haven't already despatched the backordered item.
If you send too much money
Strangely enough, this does happen! For example, it's possible to miscalculate the total value of the order you are placing, or sometimes overseas customers find it more convenient to round up the total to the nearest whole pound. Any such overpayment will be marked as credit in your favour or refunded, according to the box you have ticked on the order form. If you do not tick either box, we will process any overpayment as credit by default.
If you don't send enough money
If you have miscalculated the total value of your order, or prices have gone up, we will process your order in the following sequence, up to the value of your payment: 1. items in stock at the price you are expecting; 2. items in stock at a revised price; 3. items not currently in stock. Any balance remaining will be processed as credit or refund according to your preference. Any items for which there is not enough payment will be marked accordingly on your Despatch Note.
Credit
All items for which you have credit are listed on the Credit Statement section of the Despatch Note that accompanies your order. With the exception of any prepaid items despatched after the date on the Credit Statement, the total indicated is held in credit against a future order from the BBR Catalogue. It may also be refunded upon request. Please enclose a current Credit Statement when claiming your credit. You may request a statement of your current credit balance at any time by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to our Sheffield address.
Refunds of Credit
All refunds to UK customers under the value of £3 will be made in UK 1st or 2nd-class postage stamps to the nearest value above. All other UK refunds will be made by cheque. For refunds to overseas customers we'll do our best to work something out in local currency.
Subscriptions and your right to cancel
Although BBR Distribution no longer offers subscriptions to any magazines itself, some publishers list us as their UK subscriptions agent. These, and all other subscriptions purchased previously from BBR Distribution, will continue in the normal fashion until they expire.
When that happens, however, you will then be invited to set up a standing order to that title. Before that point you are of course free to cancel your subscription to any magazine and use the credit to set up a standing order to the same or another magazine.
Until then, the balance of your subscriptions will appear on your Despatch Note and Credit Statement just like any other prepaid item. This means that if at any point you are not satisfied with the magazine to which you've subscribed, or you're not happy for any other reason with the service we provide, all you have to do is write and tell us. We'll then happily refund the balance remaining from that subscription, or add it to your credit. You may request a statement of the balance of your current subscription(s) at any time by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to our Sheffield address.
VAT (UK Sales Tax)
The prices stated include any VAT that may be currently applicable to these items. At present, books and magazines are not liable for VAT in the UK, but we reserve the right to amend our prices without notice should the VAT liability for any items listed be changed in the future.
Customers outside the UK
Pages in the BBR Catalogue show prices inclusive of postage and packing for destinations worldwide. Non-UK customers registered for VAT in the EU VAT area must supply a valid registration number if a VAT invoice is required.
Carriage
Low value goods are despatched by Royal Mail or Royal Mail Parcelforce. High value goods are despatched by Interlink Express, will require a signature on delivery, and can be tracked on the Interlink Express website. Please contact us if you wish to make alternative arrangements. If the address you supply is incomplete, or for any other reason your goods are returned to us undelivered, we will charge you the cost of shipping your goods again. All claims for damage or short delivery must be notified in writing to us within 3 days of delivery, and we limit our liability in such cases to replacing damaged items free of charge, or refunding to you the price paid for the goods, together with any carriage charges that you incur in returning damaged items to us.
Terms of Business
We aim to process your order as swiftly as possible, but not before cheques have been banked and cleared, so please allow 28 days for delivery. We reserve the right to alter prices without notice. All goods are offered subject to availability of stock. We accept no liability for loss of profit or for any other financial or consequential loss or damage resulting from failure to supply any goods advertised.
